Our Values

We value Father as co-equal to the Son and Spirit. He is eternal and infinite. He, along with the Son and Spirit, created mankind. He sent the Son to buy mankind back from sin. His glory is seen in the Son. He sent the Spirit to live within His children to help them live for Him. His glory is seen in the Spirit.

Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19

We value Jesus Christ as the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father and the Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all the people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return to take God's family home.

Matthew 1:22,23; John 1:1-5; Hebrews 4:14; I Corinthians 15:3,4

We value the Holy Spirit as co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Spirit comes to live within us to assure us we are God's children. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily.

John 16:7-13; I Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Galatians 5:25

We value the church as the family of God. This family is made up of all those who have been born again -- God's children. Jesus is the head and the church is His body. The purpose of the church is to be the earthly home of God -- a place for His children to serve Him. Membership in God's family is based upon one's salvation.

Ephesians 2:10,19; Acts 2:27

We value a common faith. Our faith is in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God. Our relationship with God is dependant upon our faith in Him. Faith is the belief of and the trust in the salvation from God through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 3:38, 4:16; Galatians 2:16

We value that God offers an eternal home for His children -- heaven. This is a place of peace, joy, and especially the presence of God. Our guarantee of heaven is the Spirit living within us.

I Peter 1:4; Revelation 21:1-2; Ephesians 1:14

We value that salvation is a gift from God but that we must accept it. We can never earn our salvation by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness, can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our sin and turn to God in faith, re-enacting the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ in baptism, we are saved.

Romans 6:3-4, 23; Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 2:38
